CUNICULA

Privacy Coin

A cryptocurrency designed to reduce transaction traceability through built-in privacy features such as shielded pools, ring signatures, or stealth addresses.

Designs split on defaults: Monero applies ring signatures, stealth addresses, and confidential amounts to every transaction, while Zcash offers shielded transactions alongside transparent ones. Default-on privacy keeps the whole chain in one anonymity set; optional privacy concentrates shielded activity into a smaller one.

Several markets have delisted privacy coins under exchange policy or national rules, which moves acquisition toward P2P and swap routes documented in the linked guides.
