VPN

A virtual private network encrypts traffic between your device and a provider-run server, hiding activity from local networks while shifting trust to the VPN operator.

The tunnel hides traffic from the local network and ISP and presents the provider’s address to destinations. Everything therefore turns on the operator: what an account requires, how payment links to identity, which jurisdiction compels it, and what evidence supports its claims.

One hop under one operator is not an anonymity network; it is a visibility transfer. The VPN category records the account models, payment rails, audits, and jurisdictions per provider.
