Pseudonymity

Operating under a persistent alias instead of a legal identity. It offers some separation, but repeated use can still create a trackable profile.

A pseudonym accumulates history, and that persistence is both the value and the exposure: reputation builds, and so does a profile that one linkage event can attach to a legal identity. Payments, reused infrastructure, writing style, and timing are the common bridges.

Maintaining separation between pseudonyms is active work, and the directory’s records note which services allow accounts that never touch identity in the first place.
